Leading the field, as it frequently does, Futaba’s revolutionary drift steering system uses a pair of these high-quality knuckle servos that replace the traditional chassis-mounted steering servo and its associated pushrods and linkages. Mounting directly to each front wheel knuckle the advantage is an unencumbered direct drive system with no slack, no delay in response and a freeing up of space at the centre of the chassis, the latter allowing room to optimise the car’s weight distribution. Other key advantages allow instant adjustment of the steering geometry and the ability for servo movements and toe angles to change automatically based on throttle or brake inputs.<br><br>Operational requirements for the CD500 KS include a drift car gyro that supports two steering servos (such as the GYD560) along with a transmitter that has the ability to mix two steering servos, i.e. the T10PX(R), T10CR and T6PV.
